“I don’t know why you were so worried. That presentation was amazing!”
Those were the first words I heard after I had finished giving a talk to a technology user group in Seattle, Washington.
Just a few years ago, my stomach would be tied in knots at the thought of something minor such as speaking in a team meeting.
So what changed?
To be honest, I was tired of throwing my resume into the black hole of online job boards or competing with comically under-qualified contractors.
For my fledgling startup to succeed, I knew that we had to increase visibility to what we do; bringing supply chain disciplines to companies that run on SAP.
Getting in front of a captive audience, delivering value, and providing some much-needed entertainment was a good goal as any.
